First Lady Alicia Ramsey
Empowering women to cultivate positive relationships as they enrich their mind, body and soul through the word of God.
First Lady Alecia Ramsey, born Alicia Beidleman, is a native of Elyria, Ohio. She is the oldest sibling of four and the only daughter of Gary and Beverly Beidleman. She graduated from Elyria West High School and attended the University of Akron where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education in 1993. First Lady Ramsey furthered her education at Indiana University and received her Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership. After meeting Pastor John Ramsey in 1995, she moved to Indianapolis where they married and she began an extensive career in public education.
Alicia spent 14 years working in Perry Township Schools; she was the Principal of Clinton Young Elementary School and Perry Meridian 6th Grade Academy. Prior to this position, she was an Assistant Principal and Dean at Southport Middle School and a teacher at Perry Meridian Middle School. In 2002, First Lady Ramsey was the first African-American female to be elected to the school board in Pike Township for a four-year term. In June of 2009, she decided to make a life change for her family and she resigned from her position as Principal of Clinton Young Elementary School. This would allow her to expand her family and assist her husband in full-time ministry.
Alicia is now utilizing her professional experience with her spiritual calling. She is the Vice President of Administration at New Life Worship Center. Her 15 years of professional experience within education enables her to consult for Rhema Preschool and Daycare and plan ministry services and events.
In 2006 she birthed a women’s ministry entitled “New Life Women of Excellence.” This ministry was designed to empower women to cultivate positive relationships as they enrich their mind, body and soul through the word of God. The annual lock-in event which is planned and lead by First Lady Ramsey draws women from all over. This event quickly outgrew the church’s main campus and was moved to the Murat Old National Theater in 2011. In 2010, Women of Excellence birthed WOE-Fit a collaboration with the churches Healthcare Ministry that provides women-only exercise classes, nutritional education and spiritual guidance at our Traders location.

Their youngest son Jeremiah David was born in 2001 with Agenesis of the Corpus Callosum and is in the Autism Spectrum. God placed on the heart of her and Pastor to create a ministry at New Life entitled “Guardian Angels.” This ministry allows parents with special needs children to come and worship while their child receives quality care.
In her free time she enjoys traveling, reading and spending quality time with her husband, their two sons, John, Jr. and Jeremiah David and their baby girl Judah Maree.
